The Epure Magazine project was one of my most enjoyable school assignments. It involved creating a magazine from scratch, starting with selecting an original name, designing a logo, and developing a brand identity. We also had to establish a direction for the magazine, from its tagline to the overall vibe and tone.
For my project, I chose the name Epure and aimed to embody simplicity and elegance. The logo was designed to be minimal, legible, and easy to connect with. I used a carved font to achieve a sleek, yet approachable look. The tagline, "Your Guide to Elegant and Chic Fashion," helped to further emphasize the refined nature of the magazine.
My favorite part of the project was designing the table of contents. As a reader myself, I've always been drawn to creative and unique approaches in this section. I wanted to make it visually engaging, so I chose a large photo paired with a playful layout to break the conventional structure. Additionally, I recognized the crucial role of imagery in fashion magazines, so I made sure the photos played a central role in defining the tone and style of the magazine.
