For this school project, I worked on creating a piece for a non-profit organization focused on environmental impact, specifically highlighting how trash affects our oceans. I chose Ocean Conservancy as my project, with the aim to make the audience reflect on the consequences of neglecting small actions that harm nature.
To emphasize this, I mixed everyday plastic items, such as a spray or a bottle, with ocean creatures like fish. The resulting image is unsettling and intentionally off-putting, meant to challenge viewers and make them question the harmful effects of pollution. I paired the design with the phrase, "Trash and ocean don't mix well," to drive home the message that the careless actions we take now will lead to regretful consequences for the environment.
